Under article 24 of the Law “On the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”, the Committee considered the issue of implementing paragraph five of clause 3 of section XV of “Final Provisions” of the Law “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance” regarding granting early retirement pension to parents who raised five or more children or a disabled child.
Parents who were refused to be granted such pension due to the fact that at the moment the father applied for pension mother was under the age of 50 and did not acquire the right for such pension, addressed the Committee.
Thus, the Committee agreed that under paragraphs four-five of clause 3 of section XV of “Final Provisions” of the Law “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance”, a pension is granted to a father under the presence of a respective mother’s written statement on agreement to appoint pension to father, irrespective of her age and work experience.
The decision of the Committee on this issue was referred to the Cabinet of Ministers with a recommendation to ensure fulfillment of provisions of paragraphs four-five of clause 3 of section XV of “Final Provisions” of the Law “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance”, with consideration of Committee’s suggestions.
